A funding platform for development and international cooperation projects.

In 2023, as part of my mandate as a consultant-volunteer in project management for development and international cooperation projects at SUCO in Peru, I realized, while working closely with several Peruvian civil society actors specialized in sustainable development and gender equality, that the application processes for project calls are very bureaucratic and therefore, costly and time-consuming. After discussions with several leaders of these organizations, I came to the conclusion that much of the time currently allocated to fundraising and reporting on funded projects could be saved to be used for more useful and strategic tasks in the development of the organization. From this observation was born the idea of creating a new process of application and management of calls for projects making efficient use of human, material, temporal and financial resources beneficial to both civil society and donors. I started working on this project in parallel to my mandate and named it Tardi, in reference to the Tardigrade, an animal considered the most resilient to extremely hostile environments, where the idea is that Tardi is a funding platform adapted and optimized to the constantly evolving organizational context of international cooperation funding. Although deep down I strongly desire to share with you the core value proposition of the Tardi project, as a precautionary measure, it will not be disclosed, at least for now. The idea of creating a company dedicated to the project is conceivable in the short and medium term. I will keep you informed.
